I am so back


Finally gymmed today after what felt like forever! Hahahaha

I had a swine flu scare since Sunday night kasi so I rested first. Plus my body was sore because of Sunday's run. After antibiotics and Alaxan if-r, I regained strength in just two days.

After my class I went straight to the gym for RPM. Grabe what a feeling. Namiss kong mag bike, three days lang naman akong wala but it did feel like forever hahaha. After that I ran 5k with Mark then a little resistance training.

(Tapos sinira ni Emman yung insane diet ko by feeding me cheeseburger ugh!! But daaaaamn, was it so good!!!)

Kanina I saw my BFF, Ace, with his other client. Ugh selos mode hahahaha nakakainis kaya! Sinasamahan mag cardio at pinagbubukas pa ng water bottle. PAMPERED MUCH!? Hmpf! At least ako lang ang may massage after workout CHYEEEHHHH :)) Just kidding! Hahaha :D

Endorphin overload!


I ran a half marathon today.

I can't believe I was able to do it. Joining this fun run was even an impulsive thing; I was staring at the ceiling mga Friday morning and I heard the ad on RX 93.1, and I was like 'Wow sige I want to join that event'. I was supposed to sign up sa short distance lang, say, 5k or 10k. But when I got to High Street yesterday, hindi na pala puwedeng mag sign up dun, sa 21k na lang. Argh but I really wanted to join so I was like 'Fine. I hope I don't die.'

Hahahahaha. It's my ultimate dream to run a marathon someday, and I've never thought that I could finish a half-marathon this soon. It is so...fulfilling! Hahaha!!

Pero eto, I was 30 minutes late for the run cause I woke up late. Pero ok lang kasi siyempre kahit naman on time ako as if naman I'd win, hahaha. I just wanted to finish the run so I didn't care much about my starting time.

I crossed the finish line after 2 hours and 30 minutes. I stayed on a pace that I could maintain throughout the run--I never stopped, but there were times that I slowed down a little, lalo na sa uphills. It was not at all easy! I wasn't really prepared.

I think doing RPM almost everyday and running at least 15km per week really helped build my endurance. I never really trained for speed, hahaha endurance ok na yon.

The only preparation that I did was this:

Yesterday naman was the launch of RPM 43. Grabe. Insane. FATAL! But I love it, this release sure is different from the others.

I must say track 5 is the craziest. Feeling ko mamamatay ako dun. Tracks 4 and 6 were supposed to be rest and recovery time pero bat ganun, parang di naman ako nakapag pahinga, hahaha!

Pero ang galing grabe. This is something to look forward to every...day? Hahaha. And I was so happy that my two favorite instructors were the ones who presented during the launch!!

Steady steady


My search for the ultimate happy place in school is over!


What do you think? Its at the second floor of St. La Salle Hall, right across the football field and Velasco Hall. To your left is the SJ walk, while to the right (not in photo) is Taft Avenue.

I really like this place--aside from having a strong wifi signal, parang I feel some sort of serenity when I'm here, haha!

After my accounting midterms kanina, I went straight to the gym to attend the 10:30 RPM class of Kiko. Omigod I think I'm addicted to RPM. I've been attending classes at least 6 times per week; once a day for 4 days, tas twice pag Monday (back-to-back with Hannche) or Friday (back-to-back with John). Its such a feel-good thing for me though my thighs are really sore now. But its probably because of the imbento, not to mention insane, hamstring and quad exercises that Papa Ace made me do yesterday.

Anyway, I love how my 5-hour break went this time; there was no rushing back to school that occurred and no worrying about schoolwork while working out. Wuhooo! I saw my home club gym friend Myron, too. Haha. Around 1, we went back to school because he has class at 2, ako naman 2:40.

Now I'm on break again, this time I'm in the conserv cause my laptop's battery is dying. Ah ayun pala yung wala dun sa happy place--no power outlet! But still, its a nice place to spend your me-time, hahaha

I am itching to cross the road; I see Starbucks from where I am sitting, but its raining pretty hard.

Well how about that, its already 5:45. I must walk to my class now. OBLICON na naman huhuhu! But first I must find a way to have a quick joanna. 'Joanna' hahahaha miss you Nica and Sammie!

Zero-workout day



I like this. I am bored here. I am itching to go for a run or attend RPM. Ugh =\

Yesterday I bought my first ever cotton dri-fit tee. Hahaha. Nike makes me feel better. I wonder how the cotton dri-fit feels like when I get really sweaty when I run.

I also bought Incubus' Monuments and Melodies. I'm listening to it right now. I love it.

I'm doomed. I'm in Batangas right now, going straight to school tomorrow. I left my FILDLAR readings at home and we have a long quiz tomorrow. Death.

Flop

1. Thursday morning, I got stuck in traffic because I left the house later than usual. I was really itching to have a smoke but theeeeeeeeeeen look what was right in front of me for a whole hour


HAHA FLOP

2. A few weeks ago I went to Technohub to study. I was planning to stay there for like, half the day, so I could finish everything I needed to do before going home. SOBRANG FLOP LANG



May bayad na yung parking, and that time when I got there was their first day of implementing the pay parking scheme. SOBRANG FLOP nung mga guard, they were still figuring out how to work the computers and stuff. MUNTIK PA AKONG MABAGSAKAN NUNG BARRIER THING hahahahaha flop!

3. Yesterday I had to be in school for some makeup classes and an SAT-like exam. Coding ako ng Friday so yesterday was commute day. I didn't know that Friday was also Quiapo day. SO FLOP TALAGA--BAKIT AKO NAG FX!!! Grrr!!! Sa Taft pa lang sobrang traffic na until Quezon Ave!

I was so pissed so when I came back to Trinoma (I parked there), I went to my happy place to cool myself down. Hahahahaha. Effective talaga ang Nike. Let me share my new terno outfit hahaha


I wasn't able to resist it. The fact that it has just arrived and it says 'Run Like a Girl' were screaming BUY MEEE! Hahahahaha

Quickie

Omigod I miss blogging to death. School has been a bitch; I barely have time to check my Facebook account! I haven't been Plurking as much as I used to, too.

I'll KISS (Keep It Short and Simple hahahaha) this entry because I have stuff to do pa, I'm just itching to blog! Anyway here are the top two things that I have been _______ for the past few days

wanting:
  • EAT! But I can't. Omigod Mister Kabab. Omigod Sugarhouse. Omigod Sbarro Chocolate Calzone. Omigodddd I'm so hungry! Amici! Kopiroti! Okay forget it.
  • SLEEP! But I also can't! Well that's why I've been wanting those two nga eh, cause I can't have them! If there is one thing I've learned in my past 'relationship' is that you'll always want something you can't have YUCK MEGANON hahahahaha just kidding! Anyway yun nga I've been sleep deprived the past couple of days kasi--I wake up at 4am and get home at 10pm. I just want to sleeeeeeeeeep!!!

tired of:
  • DRIVING! Pero I'd rather get tired of this and feel the poverty (because of gas) than ride the MRT or LRT and expose myself to A(H1N1). HAHAHA joke lang. I bring a lot of stuff kasi with me so commuting is off the list. But its really really tiring, especially after gymming :(
  • WORKING MY LEGS OUT! Papa Ace have mercyyyyyy. I really really despise the freaking shoulder dumbell squats. I'd rather swim with sharks than do a single set of that again!! Don't get me wrong though--I like leg workouts, its just that freaking pain-in-the-ass shoulder dumbell squats that I really really don't mind not doing ever again in my life.
